Sterling Medical Devices participated in the software development, testing, and refinement of a DICOM image analysis system. The software analyzes DICOM images to measure the size of portions of a bone. This allows the manufacturer to construct a custom orthopedic product.
To retrieve images for analysis, the system connects to a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) server. The system’s software then analyzes the X-Ray images and records the parameters of the bone.
The development focused on the development, testing, and refinement of the software for the system.
