Chief Technology Officer

Dan Sterling is the Chief Technology Officer of Vantage MedTech, previously serving as the President and Founder of Sterling Medical Devices. Dan’s leadership at both Sterling and Vantage has been guided by his diligence, dedication, and commitment to delivering innovative solutions for his clients. His career includes developing safety critical systems and managing software development processes spanning the medical device, aerospace, and telecommunication industries for distinguished companies such as McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing), Motorola, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, and Guidant (now Boston Scientific). Dan is a driven leader with a passion for ensuring quality management is infused into every aspect of Vantage’s operations. Dan earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, IA. His experience with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, and ISO 9001 ensures best practices are accurately implemented into each of Vantage’s projects. Under his leadership at Sterling, he fostered a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and relationship building. Dan has a passion to ensure all the work at Vantage MedTech is enhancing and saving lives. He continues to cultivate and expand an exceptional team that is constantly and consistently pushing the definition of excellence.
