Creative Resource Director 

Creative Resource Director Mario Turchi brings over three decades of product development experience to Sterling Medical Devices, having designed or led the design of hundreds of compelling and successful products for a range of consumer, scientific, and medical markets, including dental, therapeutic, drug delivery, diagnostic, and surgical devices. With expertise in delivering innovative design solutions to complex development challenges, he oversees the strategic and conceptual direction of most industrial design (ID) related project engagements. Prior to joining Sterling, Mr. Turchi was founder and Innovation Director at ION Design, a NJ based product development firm, helping clients – from tech start-ups to international corporations – navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology and markets. A member of the Industrial Designers Society of America and co-inventor of dozens of utility and design patents, Mr. Turchi’s work has been recognized with some of the industry’s most prestigious design awards, including more than a dozen International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). His work has been showcased in a host of design and industry publications, and he has served as an expert witness for intellectual property related civil actions. Mr. Turchi holds a Masters in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Rhode Island School of Design. His passion is to create the most engaging and satisfying product experience for the user.
