Program Director

Program Director Steve Hartman has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, the last decade spent with Sterling Medical Devices. In his current role, Mr. Hartman manages relationships with current customers, helping to identify their current and future needs while ensuring Sterling maximizes its support of their business growth and goals. He also collaborates with Sterling’s sales team to develop new relationships to further grow and expand Sterling Medical Device’s reach to help more device developers. He has extensive experience leading numerous project teams on the company’s most technically complex projects, with a focus on novel product device development. He is an author on over 10 novel patents that he helped establish, creating a legacy of enhancing health, healthcare, and society. Mr. Hartman is skilled at learning and understanding what’s needed to build and retain strong project teams. He earned his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University at Buffalo. He finds immense value in mentoring other engineers and finding innovative solutions to improve and save lives.
